Window campaign designed by StudioXAG for Barcelona's Montblanc flagship store.

This collection of retail architecture photography documents the Montblanc “Glacier” seasonal window campaign at the brand’s boutique on Passeig de Gràcia, Barcelona. Created by the global creative agency StudioXAG, this installation marked a fresh, adventurous creative direction for the luxury brand, converting a commercial storefront into an eye-catching visual exploration of frozen abstract landscapes.
The photoshoot focuses on how modern visual merchandising can transform a high-end facade by adding layered depth and bold graphic textures.
The core of this spatial retail layout relies on an intricate interplay of translucent shapes and sharp linework.
Documenting high-end glass storefronts on a bustling avenue like Passeig de Gràcia poses significant challenges.
The images are captured using strict vertical lines to ensure architectural accuracy and prevent perspective distortion on the building’s facade. Managing street-level reflections on the premium glazing demanded exact angles and specialised polarisation filters to eliminate distracting public glare. This preserves the subtle opacity of the vinyl ice graphics and the inner warmth of the retail fixtures. By balancing Barcelona’s natural daytime ambience with the internal LED lighting of the vitrines, the series achieves a fleeting, high-fidelity intersection of luxury retail design and public installation art.
